Getting Started

In this quickstart, we are going to create new Corlysis account, new InfluxDB database, send data to this new database and visualize those data in Grafana.

Create Corlysis account

Sign up to Corlysis App.

sign up

Open your e-mail client and confirm your email to activate Corlysis account. Log In to Corlysis App and in billing section click on “Try it free”:

activate account

Congratulations - you successfully created and activated your Corlysis account.

Create InfluxDB database

Click on “Create new Database” button and write your database name:

new database

You should see your new empty database in DB list:

new database

Insert records to your database

We recommend to you follow official InfluxDB Documentation. You can write data to your database using the HTTP API or manually from web console or manually from CLI influx.

For example I am going to write single point representing outside temperature in the garden using cURL tool:

curl -i -XPOST '' -u token:YOUR-SECRET-PASSWORD --data-binary "meas_test,place=garden value=20.64"
  • Insertion explanation: database name: test_db, measurement: meas_test, tags: place=garden and value: value=20.64)*

  • Click to your database to see server address, database name, user name and password.*

If your writing was successful you will receive this response:

HTTP/1.1 204

And you can repeat this process with different values.

Note #1: Same insertion from Influx CLI:

influx -host -port 8086 -username token -password YOUR-SECRET-PASSWORD -database test_db
> insert meas_test,place=garden value=20.64

Note #2: Same insertion from Python:

#prerequisites: pip install requests
import requests
url = ''
params = {"db": "test_db", "u": "token", "p": "YOUR-SECRET-PASSWORD"}
payload = "meas_test,place=garden value=20.64\n"
r =, params=params, data=payload)

Visualize your data in Grafana

If you are not familiar with Grafana start with Grafana Docs.

After that click on the Corlysis - Grafana.

And create new dashboard:

And click on new graph and after that click on Edit:

Select your data source, measurement (meas_test) field (value) and fill(none) and you will see your data:

You can continue with title, axes, draw options etc. settings.
